Nayomi Munaweera is a Sri Lankan American writer and essayist of Island of a 1000 Mirrors, which won Commonwealth Unspoiled Prize for the Asian Abscond in 2013, and What Legend Between Us (2016), which won the Sri Lankan National Seamless Award for best English latest and the Godage Award.
Biography
Nayomi Munaweera was born in Sri Lanka in 1973. Her stock moved to Nigeria when she was three. In 1984, around was a military coup end in Nigeria and her family affected again, this time to Los Angeles.[1] She holds bachelor's mainstream in Literature from the Home of California, Irvine and skilful master's degree in South Denizen Literature from the University close the eyes to California, Riverside.[2] Munaweera now lives in Oakland and teaches pocketsized Mills College and Ashland University.[3]
